Yesterday, I did something completely different. I gave a two-hour drawing lesson to Daniel and Alex, two teenagers who make their own comics. I made comics myself when I was their age, so they reminded me a lot of a younger me.
These guys are smart and talented beyond their years, which made my job very easy. My goal was to pass along some lessons that I know would have come in handy when I was in the comics business, and I think I succeeded in doing that. They have really good ideas for characters, so I fully expect to see their work in stores someday.
I am mentioning the lesson, because I would be open to doing this again. If you live in the Chicagoland area and would be interested in finding out more about private drawing lessons, visit my Contact page, and drop me a line.
On an unrelated note, here is the real-life Michael Jackson doll I referred to in a previous post. It has been with me for twenty-seven years.
