Upcoming Class: Figure Drawing – Canceled

Very shortly, I will be reaching my one-year anniversary of teaching at ChiPRC!  I’m very excited to be continuing ongoing series like Figure Drawing (described below).  And I’m thrilled to be bringing you new workshops covering everything from art in series, to spiritual iconography!

Over the next week, I will be announcing each of my upcoming events at ChiPRC in the order they will occur.  Today’s post is about Figure Drawing!

Figure Drawing

Sat, March 8, 7pm – 9pm — Figure Drawing: Arms
UPDATE 3/3/14:  The March 8th session is cancelled

We are a small and relaxed group – all are welcome!  No matter your skill level, no matter your style.  This is not about pleasing an instructor or producing traditional representations of the figure.  This is about you taking the opportunity with a live model to do what you do best….

Bring your own paper and drawing tools and arrive a few minutes early to set up.  You can use the traditional graphite, charcoal or conte crayon….  Or think outside the box: pens, markers, colored pencils, etc.  The most inspiring thing about these sessions is seeing how other people draw the figure….

Our expert model will give us short poses, medium poses, and long poses.  You will be able to view the model from numerous angles.  We try to bring in different models for each session, so no two sessions will be exactly the same.  We also focus on a different area of the body for the long poses.  (18+ only – model will be nude.)

Space is limited to 6 attendees, so reserve your spot now!

Each session $15 pre-register or at the door.  Pre-register for two sessions and pay $12 each!  Pre-register for three and pay $10 each!!  Pre-register at chiprc.org….  The deadline for pre-registration is a week before the event.  Please pre-register early, because the event will be cancelled if no one has pre-registered by the deadline.

Future Sessions:
Sat, April 12, 7pm — Figure Drawing: Back
Sat, May 10, 7pm — Figure Drawing: Head & Neck
Sat, June 14, 7pm — Figure Drawing: Hands & Feet
